Then came the iPhone revolution and the advent of cheap video conferencing and Polycom kind of disappeared, eventually being bought in 2018 by Plantronics, the headphone company. It has its’ on battery so you can go wireless with a BT connection.

The sound of this unit as a speakerphone is superb. Overall, I would recommend this Poly 40 speakerphone for its performance and ease of use. I even turned a large fan on high and they couldn’t hear it but noted my voice changed a bit, maybe due to processing my voice.

There is a built in cord so you can power the device or upgrade the firmware. Nice bonus.
