My two favorite headphones are the 30 Ohm Grado RS-1 and 300 ohm Sennheiser HD 600. The manual warns of this, and tweaking the "DPLL" setting in the menu to a higher number made the pops at least less frequent. Also, Judy from Aoshida reached out to make sure that everything was good with my purchase and to let her know if there were any issues.

Build quality, the C200 is immediately nicer to me. I got the SMSL C200 DAC just the other day. 1 kHz CD quality files, and AAC Apple Music files through the Bluetooth connection.

I listen to mostly rock/metal with some ambient and acoustic thrown in and another thing that impressed me was the lack of audible distortion and the tightness and weight of well-recorded drums. The sound is smoother and more detailed at the same time. 4mm balanced output which is always a plus.

There are real people at Aoshida who want to make sure the product arrives safely and that you enjoy it. This C200 has replaced a 40 lb dedicated vacuum tube headphone amplifier that doesn't have a DAC.

Also it can drives pretty any headphones out there that you can think of. I found it very easy to set up and get operating. Up to now, I've been using a relatively ancient Marantz CD player (using it's internal DAC) with a similarly aged AV Receiver.

This DAC has really brought my digital music listening experience to life! One issue is that it does suffer from some pops and dropouts when fed a signal from my TV via an optical connection.
