The author does a brilliant job of blending real life events with his fictional storylines, making it a really informative and entertaining read. I really can't recommend this novel enough. Incredibly immersive read - the level of research and attention to detail completely transports you into the world of 70s/80s Hackney. I literally flew through it, I could barely put it down.
The prose style feels fresh and unique and the pacing in this book was honestly phenomenal.
