They are stretchy, and soft. These short tights are good. I ave worn them twice since receiving them. The waist ares is not as comfy as others I have, but they are not uncomfortable either.

They stop at right ubove the knee. Washed them in between wears and they maintained the size. Im 227Ib, 37 waist, 51 hips.
I could have went a size down but I love them. My next order I will go down a size.
They are not see through, but they are not extremely opague either. These had a lot of stretch to them. I ordered a XXXL.
