Have hardly fried meat in the pan since I purchased this. Expecting messier results when lid stays open though. 5 centimeters. If you need to change the plates or want to have another set to be able to use two smooth or two grill plates, you can buy spare parts on Amazon.

Even so, they are not perfectly parallel, pinch something from the back. I informed myself very intensively, read some tests and many recessions and then got stuck on the Delonghi multigrill. 3 x 18. Not using oil seem to cook the bottom a lot faster.

Considering the speed, I think it makes the grill incredibly usable for everyday cooking. I love this iron and its large dimensions. The cleaning „spatula“ came in handy.

Same goes for the heat of the exterior. Great to heat stuff up quickly. Editor: I have been with her for 6 months now and my degree of satisfaction is the same as the first day or even more so.
