I purchased this mobile table to chart during patient transports. So I have used a variety of solutions -- many DIY/home-made.

I needed a flat surface across my lap that can 1) keep the heat down 2) make my legs feel better 3) and something portable to keep in my pack for wherever I go. I often switch the pull out tray from one side to the other which I consider a great feature. This pad solves that extremely well.

That allowed all the affected muscles to be in much more relaxed positions. It actually sides out for both sides in case you are left handed! This also keeps my iPad from not falling off the back of the gurney or lap during transport.

I will check Amazon for another pad design, If I cannot find a different pad, I will order two of the MAX SMART Portable Laptop Lap Pads After about 8 years of use, my 1st laptop pad finally broke too much for use. I often carry my business laptop around the house on it.

I hope I get as many years out of this one. Sturdy and well-made, and if you use a mouse the pull-out tray is a good design.
