I used 6 grids for my closet with a leftover grid for my garage. Once you install the first Hex, the rest are easy. Installing all 3 sets took only an hour or 2 it’s really easy for a one person job.

After installing the hex lights I can’t even notice the light bars. I’d by more just for additional design appeal, but these things are bright enough as it is!

I also left the protective film on each lite and pulled the ends back enough to plug the connector in, then I folded the film over the connector for that extra hold. Do not think you will be stuck having to make hexagon only patterns. Customer support is also amazing.

The lights are very simple to install and give off an amazing amount of bright light. Lights needed upgrading. I used a lamp socket to outlet adapter and plugged the power for the LED grid in there. The color temperature is a very nice 5000k color as well.
