It has illustrations, maps. The regular Canadian price on the back is $80. While these tales are heavy, they are appropriate for any age group, from five years to 95. Absolutely not.

It's really big, I included a tennis ball for comparison. You get more in a mass market Narnia paperback much less the typical illustrated editions of a given book series. The illustrations are old school book illustrations, capturing the feel of the stories superbly.

This book is a good few inches thick, it's impressive and hefty! Perhaps it was overly ambitious to fit all of Earthsea into one volume.
