In my case, the rough design of the walls of my mattress means it does not slip. It is not a waterproof item and can be machine washed ‘up to 40°C & COOL Tumble Dry’, as per the seam label (image below refers).

It benefits from a shake when changing the bedding to return the loftiness to the side panels, I find. n.
