Amarula African Gin | 700ML Tasting Notes
Grown wild, each fruit is carefully hand-picked, washed, destoned, pulped and cooled to ensure the best quality, before being distilled into marula fruit spirit. The botanicals, however, are very traditional, with grains of paradise, orange peel, orange blossom alongside the juniper making this 43% South African gin a treat. We celebrate the luscious aroma and flavour of the marula fruit in a truly free spirit that is a fitting tribute to our African heritage. Containing four times more vitamin C than the average orange, Marula is a succulent fruit with a citrus tang and a creamy, nutty taste. I reckon it would've remained intact had it dropped six feet. Nose: Piney juniper with zesty orange, tangerine juice and freshly cracked red peppercorns. Thank you and cheers!

Gin is a lovely summer drink, I take mine with tonic and a cucumber slice, I always have. The label and bottle are lovely, the elephant looks great and the diagram on the back of the label looks fantastic, it’s a silhouette of a tree and two guys picking fruit, I think. So thought to give this a go. Absolutely delicious!

Very different taste, absolutely gorgeous, every gin lover needs this in their life I’ll be honest, I have never eaten, or even smelled, amarula fruit, so I have no idea whether this gin is faithful to the flavour or not. The bottle is attractively presented with a wooden finish cork and a nice little knotted rope around the neck so it’ll look great on your bar, a very classy addition to your gin collection.

Perfect for a cheeky afternoon indulgence. Nice but the taste is not strong as I expected. This is officially my new favourite gin.
