Although my window already had a restrictor on it, it still opened too far for our indoor cat to escape. I bought 4, they arrived just as I'd finished cleaning my windows and frames.

I've bought four total now and will buy more soon to secure all windows. Once fitted you open the window as normal and it automatically locks in place, stopping it blowing open or closed and also effectively stopping any cats (or kids! I wish I had these with my previous cat as they really take the anxiety out of leaving windows open with a cat around. Game changer for me 5*****

Plan to get more for the rest of the windows. I watched my cat execute some boneless, ninja moves to escape through the window gap. To close you need to disengage the lock as you pull the window closed so closing it becomes a two-handed job (it is a smooth process as long as you aligned it correctly per the instructions when fitting). Despite the price of these they are a great design and do exactly what they promised.

Works well to keep my cats inside while wanting some fresh air in the room. I bought one of these window restrictors to see how they would work on our windows with a new cat. The instructions are simple.

Excellent. The 3M VHB (very high bond) double sided tape used to fix the device is 2nd to none. You still get a good amount of airflow and your windows are secure from being caught in the wind. Absolutely love that I can now open my upstairs windows while the cat is in the room and not have to worry that he'll jump out.

It helpfully also comes with spare adhesive strips if you make a mistake or need to remove or reposition it in the future. I bought 1 for all 3 bedrooms and honestly they were so so easy to install and when they're stuck down they don't budge. Whether it is to keep animals in, protect children, or just to stop the wind catching your windows this product has you covered.

To get around this, I positioned the smaller end slightly further inwards, so that when the window opened it didn't slide its full potential and thus prevents it sliding into the locking point. I tried this one as it did not require drilling and didn't need to be messed with every time we open the window.
