I bought two of these with a mind to buy a third if I needed it. It's powered by PoE 48V (the standard), however unlike my other devices, no PoE injector is provided, so you'll either need to buy one or power off a PoE switch. So after spending time digging into the differences and using a wifi scanner.

8m) that has been extended twice. Best access point ever used easy as 123 to configure off my phone app and very great coverage recommended 10000xxxx ** does not come with injector you have to purchase septum my case I used a poe switch to power all of mines I recommend purchasing injector if ur not attaching this access point to poe network switch Overall, you'll get decent reliable wifi. 4% packet loss to computers at the front of the house and consistent 2ms ping times, compared to my powerline previously getting a very jittery 5-20ms average.

Indeed I found the range on the U6-Lite further than the AC-Lite. For years I have been dealing with powerline adapters and struggling to reach 30 megabit of my 110 megabit connection, which is frustrating as my pc is at the rear of the house.

So switching over to an 80Mhz wide band, I found I too could also get 400Mbs out of the U6-Lite. Works great I have multiple access points through out my home, very happy with the performance of them! I now get the full speed of my internet at the back of the house, the wifi deadzone in the middle has been banished and I get wifi everywhere seamlessly.

This new one is about same size as AC-Lite, smaller than AC-LR, but feels a little heavier than AC-LR. I live in a long, narrow house (about 16x3. I've got a fair selection of existing Unifi products, including original AP-LR, an AC-Lite and an AC-LR. worked!

The Judgement Jedi

However if you want faster, BT Hub rivalling performance, you'll need to do some tweeks to the settings. In terms of price, the £100 for U6-Lite is far greater than the £70 price tag of the AC-LiteTo be fair the U6-Lite is more a replacement for the AC-LR though (with U6-LR being replacement for more upmarket AC-Pro). hardly any difference, and indeed, much slower than the 400Mbps I can get on my BT Smart Hub 2. I didn't need to configure the mesh myself, when left alone for a while it just did it itself, astonishing.

I also had two routers running openwrt at each end of the house, each with different SSIDs so I could differentiate, because keeping them the same across both ends would cause issues with clients clinging to the wrong access point as you walk front to back. This is a great AP with easy install, you can hide the network cable behind it, it looks modern / stylishDevices that I had issue with my old router connect to this without a single dropOnly real negative I can think of is that it's limited to about 250mbs for my WiFi devices which now I've moved to gigabit fibre feels slow, but that's not a fault of the product being the lite model
