Initially I found the iron to be quite a lot heavier than my old iron and it did seem the weight added to making more creases in clothes but I got used to it and now seem to have naturally adjusted to using it with no problems. Ok so I do fashion design and needed a new iron , one with more steam power . Just do not buy it for your granny ( maybe too heavy for her )On to the iron , it glides beautifully, it holds more water , I can change the temperature setting still.

The temperature control is accurate and the steam function useful. WHAT I LIKE -- it looks good in black with chrome, grey and red highlights, quite masculine looking and sizeable- the ceramic sole plate glides over surfaces with easy- it has quite a bit of weight to it which I like and I believe this also helps with the ironing process- it has a large water reservoir which is good as this iron pumps out a lot of steam- speaking of steam, you can use this iron to steam whilst vertical which is really useful for steaming things like jackets to remove creases whilst hung on a hanger- the grip feels nice, its ergonomic with a soft touch coating which helps when you have a lot of ironing to get through- the power cord is a good length at 3 metres- it has a self clean function that I haven’t needed to try as yet- Russell Hobbs is a well known trusted brandWHAT I DONT LIKE -- the chrome piece on the front and top near the steam buttons, upon closer inspection looks cheap and plasticky- the flap for filling the water reservoir is also quite a cheap plastic and care needs to be taken that this doesn’t get damaged- the slider on top of the iron for regulating the steam output really is inaccurate and hit and miss. If you're looking for an efficient and reliable iron, this one is definitely worth considering, even if it falls just short of perfection. I was looking for an iron with a good steam output but at a reasonable price.

My old iron used to beep all the time when switching on and when it was at the correct temp for use which drove me crazy but this is silent with just a red light telling you when it’s ready to use. I really hope this lasts same as other one .

Solid Performance: When it comes to performance, this iron truly shines. The other slight drawback is, its quite heavy which some people may not like. The Russell Hobbs Powersteam Ultra 3100W Vertical Steam Iron 20630 in Black and Grey has certainly made my ironing routine much more manageable.

My creases were super deep in fabric so I am sure this will glide through anything ( school clothes , work shirts , jeans , ect )Also I got it half price ! It's sizeable and easy to use, making ironing more efficient. It heats up very quickly and can finish ironing perfectly.
