Long story short, i ended up taking out the screw it comes with and drilling a bigger size for a one size up screw ( see picture ) , yes. I glued Gaffa Tape to the outer plastic rings and added a piece of the rubberized side of a gardening glove to the outside of the screw.

The tightener it comes with is a little on the "not ok" side. To the manufacturer: if you put some anti-slip material on the foldable plastic holder, the part would hold immediately. great build and sturdy but there is one big problem.
