Indeed, having enjoyed all of the series to date, I have decided to revisit every episode. Definitely brought back my love of reading. It's a complicated plot with plenty to keep the reader guessing.

Would definitely recommend. Ryan opts to return to service and investigates. I love that it's based in North East and it's a detective story. Indeed, if you like good murder mysteries, you'll enjoy this one too 👌

As in the later episodes, there is a touch of humour and romance. This book was hard to put down, so I found time. Gruesome and gripping!

. The DCI Ryan series of murder mysteries is excellent and book #1 "Holy Island" is a great starter! A real page turner! Alas, the peace and quiet of Holy Island is shattered with the murder of a young girl at the ruins of a priory.

I read this after a visit to Holy Island and the book really summoned up an evocative atmosphere singular to Holy Island. Ryan is on a sabbatical following the murder of his sister.

I used to love reading and with a little one find it hard to. Even though I have read this tale before, I couldn't put my Kindle down. Bought the second one in the series to read!
