All of these make for an intriguing story. Everyone should read this book. This is one book you can go into blind and be pleasantly surprised.

A missing husband and a rich wife left alone in a big house on a hill, mysterious incidents happening around the house. Life could be good or bad in both’Set in 1940s Trinidad, this is one multilayered story with characters that all develop through the book.

It’s a story about class and the extend people go to cross the class divide. This book has so many themes and each one is explored deeply.

The author’s stlye of writing is so engaging, you will be completely immersed in the story and the lives of the characters.
