February was it and I tried to stop myself rushing through it. Towards the end, I did feel like things were dragging on a bit.

It was very informative on a piece of history, the act of regicide and what the three main characters may have gone through in that period, With no holds barred on how things where done in that period. I would agree that, when the fiction based on historical facts morphs into pure fiction, it looses some of its edge.
Loved it I found this book fascinating. Didn’t know much about the English Civil War prior to reading this so everything was fresh and intriguing.
Whenever historical fiction makes you want to read more about the real story, it’s done it’s job. I kept this book on my shelf waiting for the right time.
