)I read this in under 24 hours on my kindle. ‘I grab my love handles then cup my breasts and hitch them back up to where they’re supposed to be, I’m not even forty and they’re like spaniel’s ears. I think so far, this is a close second to his other book, The One. For two years Maggie has got used to watching the world go by from the attic window.

Is it a book I would recommend? I was a right moody cow! This is without a doubt the best book I've read in a long time! About half way through, I did guess one of the twists and you only need to ask my boyfriend about how annoyed I was that I knew one of the surprises!

I absolutely loved it. Nina and Maggie, mother and daughter, live together in what can only be described as a very unique arrangement. This is the fifth book of @johnmarrs I’ve read and it was as brilliant if not better than the others… I don’t think he could write a bad book of he tried!

She works in a library, lives alone and doesn’t really have any friends, but nobody would imagine for a second that she kept her mother chained up in the attic! Give it a read and let me know what you think! I struggled to put down this well written, page turning thriller and finished it in just two sittings. I’ve seen a lot of people recommending John Marrs, so I thought I’d give this one a read.
