After a bit of research I went for these inexpensive AKG K72 closed-back headphones. Love them! Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Is the sound comparable to high quality, expensive headphones? Not as detailed as more expensive sets generally are but on a plus-size, these are very light and comfortable over long sessions and travel. I also have a set of DT770 80 Ohms and while costing a lot less, the AKG 92 hold their own. I needed headphones that won't hurt my ears while I work at my desk but also needed something to keep the hair off my face so I don't have to keep looking for hairbands.
