It’s a handy size (not too big) and it feels substantial. Consequently, I don’t feel inclined to spend lots of money on them as they tend to get lost, broken or pocketed by other people!

Kind of thought a tape measure is a tape measure. I borrowed one and it was really thick and good quality. This is that tape measure.

It does the job well and at the price it's great! It's clear to read and the temporary lock buttons are very useful, but the permanent lock be a bit fiddly (you need some strength to lock and unlock).

This tape measure ticks all the boxes for me. It has both metric and imperial measurements, which is always the most practical for me. however I lost mine and needed one. The locking buttons work just fine, the clip has the right amount of grip to clip it onto your trousers and the retraction is good.
