Love this book . Deals with some difficult subject such as abuse, narcissism, death, murder, etc (so do check trigger warnings)

The narrative begins in Romania, but it is difficult to say if it is really him: his identity remains suspended and, moreover, it is not important; emotions count here, not details). With added spicy Vampire vibes! I highly recommend this to everyone, but please check trigger warnings beforehand and take care of yourselves.

Costanta deals with transport her special relationship, but also her extended family (thanks to the arrival of her spouses Magdalena and Alexi), and weighs the values that are really close to her heart, even if having an (almost) eternal existence available. "The force of your love nearly drove me to my knees. The story is told as if Constanta is writing a letter to her sire, who she never names, but it's assumed to be Dracula. Constanta explains to her beloved, perhaps too late, what she saw in him and what she received, in the centuries spent together, but also what she had to endure: there is bridal devotion, admiration for the scientist and in love with knowledge, the fear for the power and control to which it is subjected, the remorse for the vital spark of which it has only a memory.

The sire's truer colours came to light and this tale was one of darkness, dependency and blood. This is a story of obsession, seduction, desire, control, abuse. “Stand up, my dark miracle,” you said, pulling yourself to your feet and holding your hand out to me.
