I had ordered this book for my nephews 10th Birthday, although he is mad on Liverpool Football Club, He loves football in generalThis book is a really substantial fun book consisting of 237 pages of football facts including one of Didier Drogba and how his playing for his national team in the world cup he managed to end a war in his country. The writing style is very clear, and perfect for the intended audience of kids aged 8-12.

49 on Amazon. There are plenty of non-political things - classic footballing stats-based stuff, and a section on "mind-blowing matches". Good quality, nice content. There's lots of space on the page too, with line breaks between paragraphs and key phrases bolded, making it really easy to follow.
