About this deal
Parenting trends come and go. It means parenting with empathy, respect, understanding - and boundaries. Gentle parenting is different - it isn't a label for a precise set of rules but a method of parenting that embraces the needs of parent and child, while being mindful of current science and child psychology.

There's limited discussion of children with real behavioural problems, and it's very middle class, so perhaps doesn't consider parenting in difficult financial circumstances. Sometimes it tips over into silliness - real life doesn't allow for constant discussions with your toddler, sometimes they just have to do what you need them to do.
There's a lot to like in this book in terms of general guidelines and practical tips. But it does give food for thought.
