Just finished Tornado and couldn't put it down. This book delivers an insightful journey back to the inception of Tornado as a jointly conceived aircraft from the Cold War to its engagement in 1991 to liberate Kuwait, and beyond bringing us right up to date.

A war that is so recent that the stories have currency today.

Having served as both a Tornado Pilot and Navigator, John really has done a great job of writing this. Highly recommended reading 📚 🛩️🫡 Having already read Spitfire and Lancaster i knew it was going to be good but i think having a personal connection with the aircraft made it extra special. A superb account of what the crews went through during a very challenging time.

I thought I knew much of the history of the gulf war, turns out I knew little of the human and technical impacts of it. Thank you for telling the story. Well worth reading.
