Touch screen seems pretty smooth so far, page changing and turning isn’t annoying like I thought it would and is actually quite quick I bought the 16gb version with ads. I can’t work out how to filter by genre AND kindle unlimited.

The on/off button is in the bottom of the device thus when I read at a table it can accidentally turn off by its own. Dark mode all the way! I love it! My wife reading her kindle bought for her birthday she loves it

I wanted to get the smaller version but I’m extremely happy with this :) slightly heavier than I thought BUT IM SO PUMPED 🙈The light adjustment is great, I found it a little too cold when it was on standard setting, also been reading on my iPhone until now and found my eyes hurt from the harsh light and really appreciated this touch on the kindle. However “percentage read” is great, which is missing in iBooks. The extra 0.

I have had it less than a month and read my way through 3 books which is more than I’d typically manage in a year, I hate holding books and being unable to read at night without some form of a light so this for me was a game changer being so light weight having a backlight that is dimmable and not to mention dark mode ! If the book is downloaded outside the kindle shop, the device cannot identify which page I am reading. Location in the book. I've been using my 7th gen' since 2015 and it was still working perfectly, but I'd been drawn in by the waterproofing and slightly bigger screen, so I started having a look and eventually made the decision to treat myself.
