Blake is tall dark and handsome, smart and funny, and a total cinnamon roll 😍What really got me with this book is the banter! Do you ever read a book where you goofy grin and giggle the whole time you're reading it?

The adorable meet/cute, it's a romantic comedy, friends to lovers, forbidden/boss romance (slightly, as the story takes place mostly outside of the workplace). I loved this book so much! 10/10 recommend, 5 stars from me.
It has an adorable meet/cute over a 'stolen' PSL at Starbucks between Izzy and Blake. If I hadn't been buddy reading it with a friend, I would have binged it in one sitting.
They have an instant attraction, but the problem is, Blake thinks Izzy is Amy (because of said stolen PSL), and their chemistry is off the charts… and then they realize that Blake is actually Izzy's boss at her new job. GENIUS. It is NEXT LEVEL! Go read this book now!
Compared to most popular romances, this story is low on the conflict (that thing that keeps the lovers apart) but in my opinion, that's what makes it such a refreshing, easy, and enjoyable read—it's genuinely just a lovely, feel-good rom-com with the perfect balance of cheese, swoon, and chemistry. But honestly, I never felt like I was missing the lack of spice because I enjoyed the book so much; I didn’t even need it.
