The packaging is all made of simple cardboard and chunky plastic, with no other interesting details or features. To fix this just get a small flat head screwdriver and pry back the little clips a bit backwards where the blu ray clicks in. Though they play with no issue at 1080p or 1440p on my phone and TV.

The movies look fantastic and there is plenty of extra content, enough for every Lord of the Rings fan to be immersed in the fantastic production and the love and care put into these movies, and for every movie enthusiast to be inspired to go and make their own movies. If not, the full price is fair.

As you can see, the disc is not perfect. I say that to say this, these movies are fantastic. I own these movies in DVD, BLU RAY, and now 4K.

experience them for yourselves immediately! Not sure who the blame for this one falls on, if anyone, but upon opening the case for "Return of the King" I flipped through to make sure all the discs were ok. It turns out Peter Jackson and company scanned the films and used AI to wonderfully remaster them into this set.
