What’s interesting to me is that I don’t believe that this book was written for or against any specific side of the political spectrum. I went into it expecting lots of cliché conspiracy-level fiction but instead, I got a well written thriller with conspiracies and political tensions weaved in without being so loud and distracting that they take away from the story.
Book Review - I love it when a book can throw me for a loop and Savage Road did exactly that just like its predecessor Deep State. I was pleasantly surprised. I should have expected the twist coming by Hauty, especially after his first book Deep State, but he made my jaw drop again and all I could do was shake my head in amazement. Another outstanding thriller by Chris Hauty…he’s batting a thousand now with back-to-back successful thrillers.
“Twisty Chris” is Hauty’s new nickname. I thought this book was going to end several times before it actually did, but Hauty kept throwing more and more at me and taking me for an even wilder ride than I expected.
