After reading all the negative reviews i was a bit sceptical about buying this cage. . May up size to a bigger one in this design in the future.

You can buy special bases for this cage. I used the white clips to hold it together and used cable ties to keep the sides together. Sturdy and solid design. so it's a great cage but I was about to chuck it ir have to drill holes in order to secure the wire cage to the plastic base because, try as I might, it just balanced on top and would not 'click' as stated on the crappy instructions.

Someone said their bird had escaped somehow, i am sorry but a bird cannot escape unless you left a door open or food door flaps. Cleaning is so easy, it isn't a chore. My green cheek conure uses this for night time and travel only as he has another large cage. then hey presto you will hear that magical click they keep going on about in the instructions.

My birds love to forage for food, amongst the wood chips on the floor. This is the best cage out there in my opinion and the medium size would be large enough for two Budgies. Very good, sturdy cage. But otherwise it’s fantastic!

You're welcome x 7 1/2 inches High. It's great that you can get to the food/water bowls. It was quite straightforward to assemble.
