First album to have been released on the band's custom label, back in 1971, and one of their most important during their long-running and much celebrated career, "Sticky fingers" sees the Rolling Stones in their creative prime, presenting them at their most low-key and introspective. I would consider this album their best in my view.
Lady Stardust
Arguably one of their best and most tight sets, it is ironic that many of these tracks were recorded in different places, and at different times. From the bawdy "Brown sugar", and the mournful "Wild horses", down to the album's deeper cuts, this is quite rightly one of the most iconic rock albums ever released. I prefer my vinyl record over my cd - a great songs on this - 5 stars out of 5. Beautifully remastered, and gloriously presented (complete with a zipper), all a fan has to do is unzip and enjoy!

Obviously, it is the early versions and outtakes of these familiar songs on this set's second disc that make it essential, but hardcore fans and collectors will be thrilled to get the super deluxe box set, featuring an array of audiovisual bonus material spread across 5 discs, as well as other goodies, including a mini-book dedicated to the making of the album, with an essay and unpublished photos. While you are at it - get their new album as well Hackney Diamonds (2023). This brand new reissue puts together more pieces of this classic album. ), could it be intentional?
Listening to the stripped-down version of "Wild horses" (with that beautiful lyric video on youtube) a couple of months ago, got me enthused about this new edition. Sticky, dirty, raunchy and raw, this brand new reissue of "Sticky fingers" is totally worth savouring. Great overall album.
There seems to be an issue with vinyl copies arriving with big, greasy fingerprints all over them ("sticky fingers" takes a whole new dimension!
