The Chrome OS itself is a cross between Android and Windows (in short trousers). mouse set-up) a tad disappointing.

It is well made (for the price) and, in red, rather attractive. For most users, the addition of additional storage (a micro SD card) is a must - and should be factored into the device price. Indeed, its an excellent email App though you do have to cough up £6. Comes with a good length cable.

The excellent battery life is the highlight but the availability of APPs and the OS are disappointing. It also supports full screen viewing. When my venerable Samsung tablet died I decided to venture into the unknown (for me) world of Chrome OS and purchased this ASUS Chromebook. Arrived on time and perfectly packagedGood screen quality and couldn’t be happier.

However, it is easy to use - apart from the OS 'settings' which are counter intuitive, inconsistent and all over the shop! It is a neat little device for the money and performs well as a travel companion for browsing etc.
Battery life is extraordinary at about 9 hours reasonable use. That said, I have what I need. The display is not IPS but is adequate for my limited needs. I did ditch GMail in favour of FairEmail - as it allows me to also see and use my BT Mail Folders (which GMail appears not to support).
I just need to learn how to fullfil it's potential 🤔 Despite having the Google Play Store, a large number of APPs are unavailable, incompatible or restricted to a mobile screen 'vertical letterbox' display (horrible). The media could not be loaded.
Perhaps, because of my mainly Windows background, I find the lack of hardware options and settings (eg. 6" laptop case - which fits perfectly.
