A well-balanced single malt Irish whiskey, Sexton has been created by master distiller Alex Thomas and is made with 100% Irish malted barley. (40% ABV – 80 proof) Aromas of nuts and dark chocolate are followed by marzipan, spice and fruit. Made from 100% Irish malted barley, triple-distilled for smoothness in copper pot stills, aged in oloroso sherry casks. It is triple distilled before being aged in ex-oloroso sherry casks, giving it a rich, fruity character with notes of honeycomb. Will buy again when I finish the bottle A distinct chocolate flavour on first sip with dried fruit, a little spice and a I thought a hint of toasted oak smokiness.

PositiveWhat an absolute delight, there is no heat at all from less mature whiskey's. I've tasted many different Irish whiskies over the years and have my preferred choices, but am always open to trying something new.

Very palatable. Will be buying again but will decant but not because I'm posh. Having read other reviews about issues with pouring, I found an old optic in the kitchen cupboard which pours a single measure, very useful for avoiding drips and regulating how much one drinks. Gread product, but it was poor packing… too small item in big box, without safety material …
