I just taped the template in place where I wanted it and then drilled in. This vented laptop drawer is very handy and practical.

This is a nice solid unit and is easy to install. Easy to install and fits perfectly under the desk The only slight improvement that I think could be made (which is why I gave it 4/5 stars) would be that the outer frame be a little less tall near the front of the desk. The instructions mention that it’s easier to flip your desk over, however, I found it was a breeze to install under the desk.
