Strawberry

' which really stimulates kids imagination. There are only a few words but the pictures tell the story and there is plenty of detail on each picture page to encourage conversation on other people's homes, how and where they live, who lives there in a house like this?

High up homes, homes in other lands, big homes ,small homes, animal homes and the list goes on. The following is my honest opinion on this book:Home can be many places, in the country, in a flat or in a shoe. I think it's the kind of book that deserves a place on every preschooler's shelf. This is a beautifully illustrated book that is aimed at toddlers and very young children.

A to Z

This book was given to me to write an unbiased honest review. I have to say I'm very drawn to the illustrations in this book, I even noted pickled cucumbers in the babushka's home (many of my family have Eastern European roots so that made me smile). Overall this is a lovely book to read with very small children, it really can engage kids and teaches that people can live in a lot of different kinds of homes, and that it's fine for people to live this way which is a great message for kids to learn.

I like the mythical aspect as it really sparks the imagination and kids can not only see the wonderful illustrations but adults can talk to the kids about the various things you can see in the homes. It's an usual book and the first foray by Carson Ellis into writing (I've always liked her illustrations). The book is a touch larger than A4 and through it's many illustrations and little text shows kids that home can be many different places.

But rather than concentrating on just short homes, tall homes, messy homes, on the road homes, etc, this book delves into many other types of home such as the home of a Russian babushka and mythical homes too such as an Atlantian's home. This is a lovely book beautifully illustrated.

It then moves on to show the many types of homes people can live in. I received this book for free form the publisher in return for a review.
