[6 images attached ©️ Julia Donaldson, Lydia Monks & Macmillan Children's Books/2009 & 2019] The front cover has a gold coloured background & a mock sticker with 'Special Anniversary Edition 10 years'. Just like 'what the ladybird heard' this is beautifully illustrated and well written and easy to read aloud well.

The NOTES pages at the back are updated to April 2019; one from the author, Julia Donaldson + one from the illustrator, Lydia Monks. I really cannot believe that it is 10 years since I first read this story and the cover of this paperback edition is suitably enhanced to celebrate this special edition! The back cover detail is also updated to celebrate the 10 year anniversary (image below refers). A glittery finish enhances the cute picture visible through the circular cut-out.

Illustrated with big clear pictures and bright colours to appeal to a range of ages (from 3years up perhaps), with a little texture and glitter added for interest of younger readers. The same characters appear as in 'what the ladybird heard' as we hear about the animals outfoxing Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len.
